Hello! Tansi! Welcome to Ms. MacArthur's Blog.
A little bit about me...- I am originally from Nova Scotia. My first teaching job was in the community of LaLoche, Saskatchewan where I taught grade 7 math and science for three years.
- I subbed in Lloydminster for two years before coming to work in Onion Lake.
- I have worked for Onion Lake Education since September 2007 (13 years).
- I figured out early on in my high school life that I excelled in math so after graduation I went to university and majored in math. If you asked my own children, they would tell you that I am weird. Why do they think I'm weird? I love math. Even more than that, I love teaching math. I try to take students who hate math and show them how math is not the enemy and they can be successful. Words I love to hear: "I miss your class." I am more than a math teacher. I am a difference maker. A life changer. Most of you have heard me at one time or another say, "I don't like technology." Now I have to embrace technology and step out of my comfort zone..the chalk board and my coloured chalk. Just as you are learning, I am learning right along side you. In fact, I can guarantee you know more about computers and the internet than I do. These are all strange times indeed. As a teacher, you never stop growing and learning. I never thought I would say the words...I have a BLOG!
